The Choice is yours
HIV/AIDS has stifled the breath of hope for millions, screaming in silence , thousands suffer for knowledge of this most vicious adversary. The societal inundation of ignorance has forever shattered families/communities all over the world. We now dwell in the midst of misappropriated assumptions, mental displacement has replaced personal accountability, fear has stolen the place of peace. Many are the circumstances and surrounding factors of HIV/AIDS none of which matter on this end of the battle, If one case is transmitted via the use of drug injection and the other irresponsible sexual practices, are not both individuals infected? The heart of the rape victim who has now been attacked all over again by the knowledge of his/her status, beats no greater than the young man outcasted by his family for his mistakes and ill judgements. Although society has set these standards apart, my friends they lie the same. There is no great mystery as to why many would rather not know their status, why they would reject testing or any sort of acknowledgement of self.
As I understand the ease of complacency on the matter, my friends, positive assumption is no weapon of success. Unbiased, unadulterated Truth is the absolute best weapon in any battle. In more recent days the pursuit of truth has not been the issue, many are confronting themselves and others in an attempt to better each other. The problem and solution have been located in the Choice. The freedom to choose has allowed us the "safety" of ignorance, often we are not completely interested or attentive to a plight until it discovers us "untouched." Untouched with knowledge, uncovered, lacking truth. Every minute at-least 11 people globally are reminded that HIV/AIDS is no longer "there," but now resides HERE. We all have the opportunity to hold ourselves accountable, to secure our legacy. The future of the world lies in the minds or our youth, to what shall they enter?
